Bike Walk Wichita is, and has always been, an organization dedicated to activating our community. Our mission is to improve safety, access, and equity for people who walk and bike, and that work necessarily includes engaging in public policy, education, and community conversations related to transportation, public spaces, and safety.

Our work is nonpartisan and issues-focused. We do not endorse political parties or candidates. However, many decisions that directly affect walking and biking, such as street design, infrastructure funding, accessibility, and public safety, are shaped through public policy. Speaking up on those issues is central to our mission and required to create meaningful change.
